Public institutes of Technology/Polytechnics

In New Zealand, Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) are public institutions. Their main purpose is to provide training at diploma, advanced diploma, and bachelor’s levels, and some institutions also offer master’s programs. A key difference in bachelor’s training at these colleges/polytechnics is that their programs tend to be more practical and hands-on. These institutions follow similar academic calendars to universities in terms of start and end dates. Graduates can enter the workforce immediately or progress to higher levels of study.

Language Schools

These are institutions that offer English-language training or other foreign languages, either short-term or long-term, often with their own specialised curriculum.
