Just over two years after beginning his study abroad journey in Australia, Trieu Quoc Anh, a Bachelor of Data Science student at Western Sydney University (WSU), has earned a place among the 20 members of Team TurtleRabbit, representing WSU at RoboCup 2026 in Incheon, South Korea - one of the world's most prestigious international competitions in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Starting with a 50% scholarship at WSU and a strong passion for technology, Quoc Anh has transformed what he learned in the classroom into an opportunity to compete on one of the world's largest technology stages.
RoboCup 2026 brings together more than 300 teams from 45 countries, where leading universities and research institutes compete in cutting-edge Robotics and AI challenges. To qualify for the competition, Quoc Anh and his Team TurtleRabbit teammates dedicated over 300 hours to developing six autonomous robots - covering every stage from mechanical design and hardware assembly to AI algorithm programming, computer vision optimisation, testing, and refining their robotic soccer strategies.

Quoc Anh’s journey also highlights what makes Western Sydney University truly stand out - not only its high-quality education, but also its comprehensive ecosystem that empowers students to grow academically, professionally, and personally.
Reflecting on his experience, Quoc Anh shared: "The opportunities at Western Sydney are unlimited." From connecting with industry experts through university events and participating in research projects, to securing internships via CareerHub and competing on international stages, WSU continually encourages students to learn, connect, and unlock their full potential.
Duc Anh EduConnect is proud to have accompanied Quoc Anh throughout every step of his study abroad journey - from assessing his academic profile, helping him choose the right university, program, and scholarship opportunities, supporting his university and scholarship applications, assisting with his student visa, accommodation, and pre-departure briefing, to continuing our support while he studies in Australia.
Congratulations to Quoc Anh on his outstanding achievements at Western Sydney University. We wish him continued success as he pursues his passion, embraces new opportunities, and reaches even greater milestones in Australia.

When deciding to study abroad, many parents usually think about major expenses such as tuition fees, health insurance, accommodation, food, and living expenses throughout the study journey. However, before arriving in a new country, students need to prepare a complete study abroad application, and this process also involves various important costs that should be carefully planned from the beginning.

Many students reach Grade 12 and still have many questions: What am I truly interested in? Which field of study offers good career opportunities? Should I choose a “popular” major just because my friends are choosing it? When studying abroad, should I choose vocational training, college, or university? In reality, choosing the right field of study is one of the most important decisions at the age of 17–18. A suitable choice not only helps you achieve better academic results but also saves valuable time, money, and creates better career opportunities in the future.
